Getting Started with Nextcloud

Server Overview & Data Independence

Our Nextcloud platform is hosted on a self-managed, private server, ensuring complete control over data and operations. All files are stored using WebDAV internal storage, eliminating the need for third-party services and keeping your data secure, private, and independent from external influences.

Open Registration & Community Growth

We’ve enabled open registration, allowing anyone to join and contribute to The White Archive, Weissism, or General Collaboration groups. This fosters an environment of community-driven growth, where users can choose their level of involvement and new groups can be added seamlessly.

Accessing the Platform

To start using Nextcloud:

  1. Open your browser and navigate to:    Nextcloud
  2. Register or log in using your credentials.1741759572584-563.png
  3. Once inside, you’ll land on the Dashboard, your central hub for quick access to files, group chats, tasks, and more.

Basic Navigation

  • Top Navigation Bar:
Access Talk, Deck, and your Files from the icons at the top-left.
  • Sidebar (Left Panel):
Displays apps like Files, Deck, and Contacts. Select the app icon to switch between features.
  • User Settings:
Click your profile picture (top-right corner) to adjust personal settings, manage devices, or log out.

Matterbridge Integration: Bridging Conversations Across Platforms

Our Matterbridge setup allows seamless communication between Nextcloud Talk, Telegram, and Discord. This means you can stay connected no matter which platform you prefer.

  • Telegram & Discord Connection:
Conversations in Nextcloud Talk are mirrored to corresponding Telegram and Discord channels. To join, simply access your preferred platform and participate.
  • Managing Bridged Chats:
Conversations stay synced in real-time, but moderation is handled within Nextcloud Talk. For consistent communication, follow your group’s guidelines across all platforms.
